Halloween 2008

Oh the joys of Halloween! I think I enjoy watching the kids dress up as much as they enjoy dressing up. The boys got to dress up twice . . .the night before Halloween for the Daycare party and then the night of Halloween for Trick-or-Treating!

Nathan didn't get much say in the matter of what to wear. He donned a Lion costume originally wore by John. But Mommy thought it was too cute not to have a repeat performance. Plus the costume is super warm and great for Trick-or-Treating! As you can see, Nathan doesn't seem to mind!

The day I brought home the Spiderman costume John insisted on trying it on. He wore it for 3 hours . . .even the mask. I had to hide it until the big night so it wouldn't get destroyed.
The same enthusiasm returned the night before Halloween when John was able to transform into Spiderman once again. And I do mean transform . . .the moment the mask was on John insisted he WAS Spiderman. He was literally bouncing off the walls trying to catch bad guys and singing the old Spiderman theme song. He was in super hero heaven!
A quick pose together on the couch!

The boys enjoyed getting around for Trick-or-treating in the wagon. About 3 houses in, John was too excited to ride anymore but Nathan was more interested in the wagon ride than the candy dropping into his bag. I know . . .kind of surprising with the way Nathan loves to eat!

The next morning John dug through his bag and discovered he had about a dozen rings. Most were spiders but a few were skeletons. He of course had to put all of them on his fingers at once and show me how tough he was!

John did let Nathan have one spider ring and Nathan was thrilled to be like his big brother. The excitement wore off quickly though and Nathan went back to consuming candy. Notice the chocolate all around his mouth? Yeah, the candy was much more interesting now then it was during the Trick-or-Treating!
