John has now started T-Ball and he couldn't be more excited. He got a new bat and pulled out the glove and cleats he takes with to all Daddy's games. And he tells everyone he sees that he now plays t-ball . . .even the check-out clerk at the grocery store.
The kids are fun to watch. At first they are excited and try really hard. As time passes, more and more are looking at the clouds, playing in the dirt or just day dreaming. Without the directions from parents, you wonder if they would even realize they are still "playing" T-ball.
His first game was two innings. Everyone bats until they hit the ball and then the teams switch.
John was the last kid to bat and was told that when he hits the ball he should keep running. Well, he follows directions well. He kept running to second and passed up the kid on second who didn't realize he needed to continue to run. And then he ran to third and then home. But then he decided to continue onto first again . . .followed by second, third and jumped onto home. He was all smiles and so were we!
