Engine Turtle

While cutting the lawn at the cabin, Grandpa Friedrichs found a tiny little turtle making its way towards the lake. Knowing the boys would love to see it, he scooped it up and made a new home for the turtle in a pail.

That weekend when we arrived at the cabin, the boys were thrilled to see and touch the "engine turtle." John had a million questions. We all enjoyed the turtle for the weekend and then John and grandpa released him into the lake and watched him swim away.
