Did you know that tools not only are fun to "fix" things with but they also keep your kids very quiet? I don't know what it is but my boys constantly have the tools in their mouths. Nathan puts everything in his mouth, but his tool of choice is a large bolt. And then since John sees this gets Mommy's attention ( I am forever taking the bolt away from Nathan) John thinks it is fun to put tools in his mouth as well.
