Nathan got to experience the zoo for the first time. Mommy, Nathan, John, Kylie and Grandma Haider went to Como Park for a few hours and we had quite a lot of fun. John LOVES the zoo and is very excited for all the animals. He and Kylie loved the monkeys, especially the little ones. Both laughed a lot of these. Nathan was just content all day and hung out in his stroller. Such a good boy!
We take a minute for a Kodak moment with the giraffes. Do you know how hard it is to hold a 9 month old and make sure a 2 and 3 year old don't fall off the giraffes??
The Zoo has a small area with a Fire Fighting ride and a place to take pictures, so of course we had to stop. John loved stepping into "Daddy's" boots!

John couldn't wait to get on this ride. He and Kylie immediately ran to the fire truck and climbed in the seats. However then John decided he would rather be in the bucket to spray water. By then all the buckets were full and we had to get off the ride and wait for the next turn. Not a good thing as John burst into tears. When we finally were able to get on the ride again, Kylie and John dashed to the bucket and climbed on. As soon as the gate was closed John again burst into tears because he wanted to ride IN the firetruck. Well, at this point he just had to stay where he was and he sobbed and begged Mommy to let him get out of the bucket. (Mommy was so mean!) However, as soon as the ride started the tears stopped and John squealed with delight. He and Kylie were all smiles as they sprayed the fire hoses as they went round and round. Pretty funny how quickly those tears can stop!
