The Fire Departments annual Booya fundraiser was on 10-7-07. Daddy was busy fro three days setting up, cutting up ingredients and learning the trade secrets so that next year he can be in charge of the event.Mommy, John, Nathan, and Grandpa and Grandma Friedrichs went to the event to try out this famous booya. We were almost too late as the booya sold out in less than 2 hours! But we all agreed it was some good stuff . . .even if it made us all sweet quite a bit from all the spices. John however enjoyed a hotdog and cake as this was more his style.
Afterwards John got to enjoy some of the kids stuff like jumping in the big blow-up house. At first he was a little nervous, but before long he was jumping and smiling and begging to go again and again. Even Mommy climbed into the jumper to help John get up the ramp to go down the slide. John thought it was pretty funny to see Mommy climbing around in there!
Booya was a huge success for the Fire Department, as it is every year. And Daddy came home that night quite exhausted and smelling like a bowl of Booya!
