Nathan's favorite toy

Nathan has discovered the joy of blocks. He finds lots of fun in throwing them, banging them together or knocking the towers over.

Easter continues at home

The Easter Bunny made a special trip to our house as well. John got to search for even more Eater treats.

Nathan thinks his basket is full of fun stuff.

John dove right into the chocolate bunny. MMMMMM Chocolate!

Nathan found that the best part of the basket was the shreddings at the bottom . . .so much better than candy!

Easter Sunday with Daddy's Family

We spent Easter Weekend at Grandpa and Grandma Friedrichs and the Easter Bunny even visited us there. John was so excited to find the eggs the Easter Bunny hid. He kept saying " I found another one!" He found his and Nathan's baskets after about an hour of hunting down eggs.

Nathan enjoyed reading his new book!

John filled his Easter basket with all the eggs he found. And each egg had candy inside.
So guess who was on a sugar high that day???

The boys dig through their baskets.

All dressed up for the holiday.

We tried hard to get a family picture, but John is not really into sitting still these days.

Nathan hangs with some of his cousins: Davis and Will.

Fun with Paint

John and Aunt Micki had fun making beautiful pictures with paint.

Grandma helped too and John thought it was funny to paint Grandma's hands.

Painting with their hands was much more fun than painting with brushes, so Micki and John made fingerprint art!

What a masterpiece!

When the fun was over, the best way to get John clean was a bath. No complaints from John though because he loves his baths!

Just Nathan!

Here are just a few shots of the day in the life of Nathan!

A quick bath leaves Nathan with some funky hair!

Playing in the mirror is one of his favorite things to do!

Nathan wants to be upright all the time so he can check out the world around him!

He's so full of smiles all the time, but especially when someone is paying attention to him.

Coloring Easter Eggs

John thought it was great to color Easter eggs with Mommy. By the time we were done we both had stained fingers! But John was all smiles the entire time!

Nathan is 6 months old . . . and sitting pretty

Nathan was strong enough to sit supported around 5 months and has been loving being upright ever since. At six months he can sit unsupported for quite a long time, but we keep a boppy around him just to be safe. Here are some photos from the last month of him sitting.
Early 5 months he could sit for a little bit without support but then would tip over one way or the other.
The boppy works well on the floor and keeps Nathan happy. All his toys are within reach and he doesn't tip over backwards.
Just hanging out on the changing table . . check out those great pudgy legs!
At six months old Nathan is all smiles sitting on the floor with his play mat in front of him.
